about

An 80s synth pop song in the vein of Bronski Beat, early Depeche Mode and Yazoo.

lyrics

I don't see you, I don't need to, too busy looking at a screen in my hand, and I can't hear you, I've got my earphones, turned up loud while I listen to a band. Some say it's antisocial to wait until my message sends. Maybe I should be more vocal, I'll ask my Facebook friends. We don't speak now, we only tweet now, government tracking every word I say, and there's nowhere to hide when I go outside, cameras monitor me night and day. Some call it paranoia but the surveillance never ends. So I thought I'd ask George Orwell, he's in my Facebook friends. Went to my doctor, I really shocked her, told her I smoked seventy a day. She told me cancer is not the answer to make all my troubles go away. She suggested marijuana, it could pay dividends. So I thought I'd ask Bob Marley, he's in my Facebook friends.
